Growing up in the Lake District of North West England — an abundant terrain of mountains, woodlands, and lakes — Dr. Peter Lloyd Jones developed a deep sense of connection to nature at an early age. His curiosity was encouraged by his parents, who allowed him to venture into the forests to paint the trees, flowers, and natural life that engrossed his imagination. These early experiences kindled a fervor within the young scientist which continues to resonate through his work today.
As the Director of MEDstudio at Thomas Jefferson University, Dr. Jones' latest endeavors aim to increase levels of empathy, creativity, and connectivity within healthcare approaches. The program assembles collaborative relationships across the fields of science, design, medicine, and art in an effort to broaden perspectives and develop impactful solutions to existing medical challenges.
