With the help of Drexel University’s ExCITe Center, the Design Futures Lab and a recording space provided by the Dornsife Center for Community Partnerships, Parallax is excited to launch a new podcast dedicated to understanding and growing a more inclusive innovation ecosystem in Philadelphia.
Philadelphia is not only the birthplace of our nation, it’s also the birthplace of American innovation. It’s a city where people from different perspectives, experiences, and expertise have time and again worked together to re-invision possibilities and collaboratively innovate.
The Parallax podcast seeks to build on Philadelphia’s heritage as a global center of innovation. On the podcast, we’ll be engaging local thinkers and innovators to better understand what steps the city must take to generate a more robust, equitable, and advanced innovation economy.
Our conversations will investigate a range of questions, including: what the city’s history may tell us about its future; how a transdisciplinary approach to problem-solving can lead to new breakthroughs; what educational models are most effective for training tomorrow’s changemakers; how organizations, sectors and communities can work together to propel the city forward; and how reframing our fundamental definitions of innovation may help the city imagine new possibilities.
Join us as we explore these questions and speculate about the future of innovation in Philadelphia. Be sure to subscribe to Parallax on your favorite podcast feed — Apple, Spotify or Google Play. New episodes are on the way soon!
